Our Mission & Vision

Family.jpg

The JuJu Brents & Folks Foundation's mission is to foster generational change by offering financial support, education, guidance, and hope to single parents navigating the challenges of parenthood independently.

The foundation, founded by former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Julius "JuJu" Brents, and his mother, Serena Fowlkes,  aims to create a transformative impact on the lives of single parents and their children. We provide resources and referrals for mentorship, scholarships, access to medical and dental care, childcare, and transportation. The foundation's focus is on empowerment, community support, and making a lasting difference for

single-parent families in Indianapolis.

Vision:

To empower single parents in Indianapolis, providing them with the tools, resources, and support needed to break cycles of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Our Services/Programs

To educate single parents on effective, healthy parenting skills. To provide consistent access to essential household items like diapers, formula, and cleaning supplies. To create a support network that promotes emotional, physical, and environmental wellness for families.

Julius E. brents

Julius E. “Juju” Brents, born January 18, 2000, in Indianapolis, Indiana, discovered his love for football at just six years old. From Pop Warner leagues to Warren Central High School, he stood out as both an athlete and a leader, even co-founding “We Live,” a youth movement promoting peace in his city.

He began his college career at the University of Iowa before transferring to Kansas State, where he helped secure the 2022 Big 12 Championship and earned his bachelor’s degree. In April 2023, his lifelong dream came true when he was drafted 44th overall by the Indianapolis Colts. Today, as cornerback for the Miami Dolphins, Juju continues to inspire with his perseverance, discipline, and heart—proof that hometown dreams can reach the biggest stages.
